Our History
it all started with 13 lovely ladies…
In 1993, 13 lovely ladies came together to create an organization that would represent and support all of our ethnic backgrounds. Fitting in at the time was difficult when you only had the option of molding yourself into an ideal that was far from our own truth. So, we had no other choice but to create an organization that would be our truth. An organization that would embrace everyone as they came and embrace everything we would bring to the table. A multicultural sorority was the only way to go. Establishing a multicultural platform, would not only allow us to feel inclusive, but it would also allow every other sister thereafter, to feel the same. We wanted a sisterhood that would be “2 tight 2 break”. An education giving us endless possibilities at our destiny, and that of our organization. We wanted to leave our mark at Chico in hopes that we would expand and become something great one day! Even though this was a simplified explanation of our ideas at the time, we did it with love. We figured we would learn as we went…
